Receptionist and Treatment Co-ordinator
I have been working with Dr. Ziedenberg since he first opened his practice many years ago! I am so pleased to be a part of this dental team, and I am happy to be able to assist our patients and their parents. I enjoy working with the team and our referring dental practices to create the most enjoyable and positive orthodontic experience for all of our patients. Coming to work each day and knowing that I’m doing something I truly love is the most rewarding feeling. I’m always available for my patients when they have questions, and I make sure that I am always wearing my biggest smile!!
My wonderful, caring husband is named Shimmy. He is the love of my life – along with our trusty dog, Rocky. I grew up in North York, and come from a great family of three brothers and one sister. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my three nieces and three nephews!
Cool, fun, and very down to earth… that’s what they say about me! I have been working in the health field for over 34 years. I have a diverse background between orthodontics, general dentistry, medical secretary, administrative, and managerial experience. I enjoy working in orthodontics because I am able to build long-term relationships with our patients. It’s my goal to ensure that our patients are comfortable and relaxed, and have an enjoyable time in our practice. In this practice, our team goes the extra mile to make sure that your time spent with us is worthwhile. I look forward to meeting and helping our patients during their journey toward a healthy, perfect smile.
I am a free-spirited, open-minded, caring individual! I love music, dancing, the theater, and always enjoy a good laugh! I am a proud mother of two boys, and when I’m not at the practice, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. Working out and staying fit is an important part of my life. I encourage a daily lifestyle of maintaining healthy eating and exercising. My leisure activities include traveling, volunteering, enjoying the great outdoors, and living an active life!
Certified Level II Dental Assistant
Hi! My name is Leah. I graduated George Brown College in 2014 as a level II Dental Assistant. My love for dentistry started at a young age, I was always fascinated with the importance of proper dental health. I have worked in general practice for several years before making the move to orthodontics. I knew I wanted to have a job in orthodontics when I got my braces done here by Dr. Z when I was younger.
On my time off I enjoy being outdoors doing activities like hiking and fishing. Spending time with friends and family is my passion.
I am so excited to be apart of this incredible orthodontic team. Please let me know how I can help you achieve that dream smile you have always wanted!!
My name is Carol and I became a dental hygienist after a career as a graphic designer. I missed the one-on-one interactions and love to make patients smile! After graduating with honours, and working as a general hygienist for a year, I was fortunate enough to find myself in orthodontics and appreciate the intricacies and variety that it brings. One of the best things in orthodontics is the before and after pictures!
After growing up in Markham and Scarborough, I moved midtown and now reside in Etobicoke with my husband, daughter and two cats. During my down time, I enjoy watching movies and catching up on TV shows. I also love traveling – one of my favourite trips was to Japan specifically in Nara where you can freely feed and pet many deer, and Toyko where it is very busy yet so clean and the food is amazing.
Whenever possible I like to eat healthy and would like to learn more about cooking.
Registered Orthodontic Dental Hygienist
My name is Siobhan (pronounced “shivonne”) and I graduated with honours from George Brown College’s Dental Hygiene program in 2006. After graduation, I was immediately drawn to the specialty of orthodontics and have been working in this field ever since. It is very rewarding to participate in creating healthy smiles and seeing the confidence that goes along with those smiles! Oral health is a passion of mine and and I am continuing my education through the University of British Columbia working towards a Bachelor of Dental Science.
When I’m not in the office or studying I love to be outdoors: camping and hiking in the summer, cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. I love to read, paint, travel – my best trips so far have been backpacking through Europe and touring China. I am pleased to be a part of Dr. Ziedenberg’s dental team and am happy to be of assistance to our patients and parents.
